Crossing the Threshold
For many, the perinatal period is not only physical, it is profoundly relational and spiritual.

This is a time when identity stretches and reconfigures. Roles shift. Priorities reorder. The world may celebrate new life, while you quietly ask:
-
Who am I now, in this body that feels both familiar and foreign?
-
How do I hold space for my own needs amid the needs of others?
-
Where does my voice live in this new chorus of care?
-
What kind of parent—or person—do I want to become?

There can be beauty here, and also grief. Joy in connection, and loss of who you once were. A longing for the village that modern life often forgets to provide.

But within that longing lies the seed of transformation. The perinatal season can awaken a new consciousness and a deeper capacity for empathy, boundaries, and truth. It can be the beginning of learning to mother yourself as tenderly as you mother others.

This, too, is sacred ground. And it is yours to claim.
